This video is excellent preparation for order of operations and linear equations. There are two videos on the distributive property of multiplication. The first one showed why distribution works. This one shows the process clearly and understandably. Sal uses colors to represent each step, completes the problem using the distributive property, and then shows that his answer is the same whether he completes the subtraction in the parentheses or not.
