Pairs of learners choose an earth scientist from an extensive list. They collect information by researching online or in books about the childhood, education, and major contributions made by their chosen scientist. When they present their findings to the class, one partner takes on the role of an interviewer while the other acts as the scientist. Teacher's directions, an assessment sheet, and student handout for recording information are part of the package. Consider allowing presenters to dress the part and videotaping the interviews to share with parents at an open house.
