The External Anatomy of the Crayfish

Students investigate the external anatomy of a crayfish. In this arthropod lesson plan, students study the structures of the head, the body and the appendages of a crayfish. They locate specific structures present in arthropods and determine the sex of their crayfish. They label a picture of the structures they observed in the crayfish.

The new resource preview feature is awesome! It is extremely easy to both find materials and align them with the Common Core Standards. I use those a lot since they are not state-specific, and my lessons must meet the needs of students from different states as well as other countries. You will help me save a lot of planning time!
