The Quest for Glueballs

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

"If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics." - Richard Feynman. The video describes how our current model of physics predicts glueballs, groups of gluons attached to each other. Gluons have no mass, yet glueballs do because they are energy. Scientists are getting closer to finding them, but since they don't know what they are looking for or what properties glueballs have, the search is difficult.
