Then and Now: Public Health from 1900 to Today

Throughout the 20th Century, the world has become a healthier place. By examining the public-health issues and diseases doctors faced during the 1900's, young scholars will compare and contrast life from today vs. life in the 1900's. Their understanding of cures, medicines, and why lifespan has increased by 30 years will develop through an investigation and creation of a web page. Modification: If technology is limited at your site use a paper option.

Melanie B.
I have found some wonderful resources to use with my students through Lesson Planet. I am a former public school teacher who has taken on a private home school in order to meet the needs of those students who are not being served properly in the public school setting. I want to shift the focus from standardized tests back to LEARNING.
