Then What Happened?

Young scholars complete activities about the story "Diary of a Worm", by Doreen Cronin. In this reading comprehension lesson, students make predictions and apply prior knowledge about the topic of the story. They actively listen as the book is read aloud, and then discuss key story elements such as chronology of events. Finally, many choices of extension activities such as dramatic play, realia, and writing activities are included to wrap up the lesson.
