Using Adjectives to Write

Fifth graders examine how to write a story using comparative and superlative adjectives. They listen to the book "Pig Pigger Piggest" by Rick Walton and identify the comparative adjectives used in the story. Students then write a rough draft of their own version of "The Three Little Pigs" that includes adjectives on each page.

Lesson Planet has been a valuable resource for a poverty-stricken school district! The ability to provide differentiated instruction across a broad spectrum of subjects has helped me be a better teacher for my students.
