Instructional Ideas

  • Create a graphic organizer with the graphs, first derivative, and second derivative of each function in the lesson

Classroom Considerations

  • Expects previous work with limits and finding derivatives algebraically
  • Requires CBL motion sensor units for each group
  • Third in a series of four lessons

Pros

  • Provides a warm-up activity that introduces the lesson
  • Includes readiness level grouping recommendations and differentiation suggestions within each group

Cons

  • None
