Walking the Talk

Students research production, consumptions, and disposal of everyday items and their ecological impacts. In this sustainable economics lesson, students discuss clothing and various items used everyday in groups. Students then study a life cycle poster and create a timeline for production, consumption, and disposal of items. Students finish by completing 9 extension activities.

Lesson Planet is a great source for lesson plans that have been used successfully by other teachers. I've adopted and adapted so many of the lessons found through lessonplanet.com to suit the needs of my classes for the past two years, and have saved so much time not having to re-invent the wheel. Thanks to Lesson Planet, I've been able to evolve within this ever-evolving profession!
