We the Past

Students study philanthropy related terms and philanthropy in the United States and their local community. In this philanthropy lesson, students study pictures of present and past Americans and discuss their philanthropic acts. Students review philanthropy vocabulary words and study pictures of people and places from their community. Students use time, talent, and treasure symbols and match them to community persons and places. Students complete a homework assignment for the activity.
