Young meteorologists read basic weather maps by learning about the symbols that are associated with them. This two-day lesson has some excellent demonstrations and activities to get youngsters thinking about the weather in scientific terms. Additionally, there are terrific examples of weather maps, and a Jeopardy-style game embedded in the plan that should reinforce the important concepts covered.
