What Are Your Favorite Apples?

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

In this tally learning exercise, learners take a survey to determine the favorite apple. They write tally marks beside the apple chosen. For elementary students, this learning exercise may be used for counting purposes and to reinforce what a tally mark is. For middle school learners, this learning exercise may be used as a graphic organizer so students may then identify the mean, average, mode, median and range. They also could create graphs and charts from the organized data.
