What's in the Sock?

Second graders use their sense of touch to identify a variety of objects. For this sense of touch lesson, 2nd graders listen to a read aloud of Sandra Boynyon's, Fuzzy Fuzzy, Fuzzy. They talk about different textures and about the importance of the sense of touch. They complete a chart by identifying items that are hidden in socks. They draw pictures of the items they believe are in the socks.

Lesson Planet has helped me to locate interesting lessons for my classes, especially at this late stage in the game. It also helps me to find out new ways to reach different modalities.
