What word is it? Build fluency with sight words using this sounding out strategy which enforces silent reading techniques. There are more than enough words included here on index card templates, but you can use this idea with any set your class is mastering. Have them read one word at a time; as you point to each letter instruct scholars not to speak as they sound them out, mouthing the letter sounds. They say the word only once you have prompted them. Make this more complex by instructing readers to sound out the words without moving their lips. Check out the activity log for an assessment record.
