Students invent a new mythological god or goddess. In this literature lesson plan, students analyze various aspects of paintings of Greek gods from famous myths and research mythological characters found online. Then students use their understanding of mythology to write about a new mythological character. Students create a watercolor of the character to illustrate their writing.
