Missing Letters

There are multiple objectives to be met in this phonics learning exercise. Each of these six CVC words is missing a first letter: can your scholars figure out what it is? Spellers complete the word along with its rhyming partner, drawing a picture of the second word. The missing first letters not only help scholars with spelling, but also in grasping onset and rime. There are image clues here, and the alphabet is listed at the bottom.
