Students write and present an original ballet based upon a fairy tale. In this performing arts lesson, students complete worksheets and participate in class discussions about major historical events in Russia which influenced the development of ballet. Students complete a life-map of Nureyev and complete problem-solving activities to learn about the influence of Petipa on Nureyev's works.
