Students choreograph and perform an original dance. In this performing arts lesson, students work in groups to research historical political events in Russia, various Russian dancers including Rudolf Nureyev, and Russian ballet companies. In addition, students will analyze Modernism as expressed in art and music. Subsequently, students perform an original dance individually or in small groups as a creative response to a poem.
