For this lesson, learners will engage in revising their writings to incorporate sensory images. Students will brainstorm topics of places, away from their home, that are special. Then learners will choose and then write a descriptive piece to describe a special place that is away from home. Then students will revise their pieces and use The Leaving Morning as a mentor text to guide them in see what is incorporated into a story with strong, sensory images.
