Writing Lesson 1

Fourth graders examine the instruction page of the Writing test. They find key words in the instructions. Students practice prewriting strategies. They are told that on the first day of testing, they are going to write a composition. Students are told that the test booklet gives them the prompt, the idea, for this composition.
