The seven lessons in Unit 3 - Differentiation: Composite, Implicit, and Inverse Functions have AP Calculus learners watch videos and complete practice problems covering key concepts. Scholars learn when to apply the Chain Rule and how to use it to determine the derivative of composite functions and learn the process of implicit differentiation and apply it to find the vertical and horizontal tangent lines of curves. Other lessons teach them about differentiating inverse functions and how to differentiate inverse trigonometric functions. After a review of methods to determine derivatives, pupils learn how to find higher-order derivatives.
