Shape Toss
Learners get a bounce ball and find a Polyspot. On the teacher's signal, students underhand throw to a target. They keep their own score: one point each time they hit a target.

Toad Tag
Students who are chosen as taggers move throughout the area tagging others using a locomotor pattern of choice like walking, hopping, skipping, etc. When tagged, a spell has been cast upon them, turning them into a toad or frog.

Phone Tag
Students play tag with a foam ball. When a student gets tagged by a phone ball, they must walk over to the teacher and recite their phone number.

Students are in scattered formation within the playing area. The identified chasers each have a foam ball. On the signal they chase using a locomotor movement. When tagged a students changes movement.

Students use a yarn or fleece ball. On the signal (whistle, music) students move around trying to hit as many different classmates feet as possible.

Pupils are scattered within the playing area. Chasers have a foam ball. They chase the other students. When someone is tagged,they freeze with their hands over their head. They jump up and give a high five to unfreeze someone.

Students practice overarm throw/stricking pattern, particularly: opposition in the legs, increased trunk rotation, preparatory back swing, and uncoiling of trunk, humerous and forearm.

Students participate in a game where one student is "the tagger." The tagger holds an object in their hand to signify they are the tagger. They attempt to move through the playing area attempting to tag other players with their beanbag.

Students practice their chasing, fleeing, and dodging skills in small groups.

Scarf Tag
Students who are taggers, on the teacher's "GO" signal, try to tag students with scarves. If a student is tagged, the tagged student must give the tagger ONE scarf in order to resume play.

Students find a partner, take a walk, and tell their partner something nice they had done or seen during the day or the week.

Students are in scattered formation within the playing area. The activity begins with all of students being "it". They move about the general space tagging various classmates while avoiding being tagged.

Learners spread out in general space. Have 2/4 students be the taggers. On the teachers signal the activity starts with the taggers trying to tag the "runners". When taggeg, learners then go to an area and perform an exercise.

Students gain trust of fellow classmates. They practice cooperation and spacial awareness. They follow directions given to them by others.

Second graders identify two/three chasers either with a pinnie or have them carry a foam ball. On the signal the chasers try to tag the other students.

Students practice moving in general space successfully (i.e., not bumping into each other and moving to empty space). Teachers may add many different locomotor movements, or increase participants for an extra challenge.
