Second graders follow the Iditarod race that begins in March. They research data and select a musher to trail in the race. Then they write daily in a journal about events that happen on the trail, including pictures from the Website.

Learners are challenged to discover facts about snowboarding and write their own chapter for an imaginary book on snowboard history for publication on the World Wide Web.

Students research the Who, What, Where, Why, and When of snowboarding, and then produce a Webzine (magazine) to showcase their new knowledge.
