Kids make an octopus out of clay. They practice their sculpting and modeling skills such as pinch pot and slurry technique while sculpting an octopus. 

Students apply knowledge of underwater ocean life by creating an ocean life scene with marine animals and plants placed at appropriate ocean depths.

Middle schoolers create sets of similar triangles which, when fixed together with a piece of Scotch tape, form a spiral-like, segmented shape, slightly similar to the cross section of the shell of a nautilus.
