Do not try this at home! However, you may want to show the sensational demonstration to teach how water causes materials to cool as it evaporates. Dollar bills and handkerchiefs are soaked in a mixture of alcohol and water, and then fire is set to them. Because the flame causes water to evaporate, and evaporation causes cooling, the object does not get hot enough to ignite. Wow!
