Confronting World Stereotypes

Students examine pervasive worldwide stereotypes through role play. They are placed in the role of someone from a different ethnic background. After interacting with groups of students in their new role, stereotyped students write a reflective paper on their experience and how they believe students from other ethnicities feel when interacting with the majority culture.

Kathy S.
When plans are needed, and time is short, I begin here for help from my colleagues. The framework of lessons, excellent worksheets, and multimedia presentations has proved extremely helpful.
