Consonant or Vowel

Students discover what the teacher has revealed about them after leaving the room for a few minutes. A scenario is set up to which if the question ends with a vowel they answer "yes" or if it ends with a consonant they answer "no." After a time, the teacher intervenes to reveal the truth to the student: that he has not told the other students anything at all. Provides excellent listening skills.

My students have had many opportunities to extend their learning by engaging in extra practice activities that I found through Lesson Planet. It's much easier to differentiate instruction because I can pull together various levels of the same skill. Thanks for making my life a little less hectic.
