Instructional Ideas
- Allow some time for discussion after the results of the test are returned or viewed; you can go over test-taking skills for Common Core tests
- Reserve a day or two in the computer lab to practice with the online version to give your pupils the opportunity to play with and ask questions about the online test-taking environment
Classroom Considerations
- The online version does take advantage of the environment by adapting the format of some of the questions
- Depending on your printing capabilities, it may prove difficult to print the large-print assessment included in the materials
- With the online version, pupils can view their scores for the easily-graded questions right away; these do not show the answers, just the number correct, and can be shared
