Fermentation of Apple Cider

Seventh graders investigate the fermentation process and the chemical changes that take place. In this fermentation lesson plan, 7th graders mix extracted apple juice with yeast and sugar water and observe the reaction over the course of 2-3 days. They produce apple cider and test their product with pH paper.
