First-Aid Day

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

The second Saturday of September is recognized annually as World First Aid Day. In this First Aid Day instructional activity, students read or listen to a passage, then match phrases, fill in the blanks, choose the correct word, unscramble words and sentences, put phrases in order, write discussion questions and conduct a survey. A homework assignment synthesizes student research, and the informational passage is available to hear through a link on the site.
