Generating Hypotheses and Experimental Design 1

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Here is a thorough exercise in forming hypotheses for scientific investigations. Young scientists consider factors that may be related to the question they would like to address. They think through measurable changes that may result from such relationships. They determine the variables and control for their experiment. Finally, they contemplate what might cause the rejection or acceptance of their hypotheses. This resource is unique in that it gets learners to slow down and really think through their science projects before setting them up.
