Great Lakes at Stake

Students explore conservation of the Great Lakes. In this geography and ecology instructional activity, students identify the Great Lakes on a map and view a video depicting the history and importance of these lakes. Students work in groups to research one of the Great Lakes and write an informational paper about its features and unique characteristics. Students generate ways in which they can contribute to the conservation of the Great Lakes.

I am a very busy Head of Department and often don't have time to create worksheets and other resources for my classes. Lesson Planet has helped me find many useful and interesting activities to support my students' learning.
