How Do You Reduce A Fraction?

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Reduce, reduce, reduce. Young mathematicians should learn this and make it their mantra. Reduce fractions before doing anything else to them. Practice reducing single fractions, practice reducing fractions that are being multiplied by cross reducing. Reducing first will make the resulting values easier to work with as they will be smaller values.
