Teach kids how to watch television, specifically the news, with this creative idea for learners of all ages from the Media Awareness Network. The elementary school plan focuses on presenting news as a story and uses Jon Scieszka's story The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. The high school plan covers the components of a news story such as sequence and scope as a way of looking at bias. Though the lesson does not contain activities, it is a good introduction to perspective.
