Investigators examine the clues to complete 17 sequences by skip counting backwards. There are two examples to get them started, and all of these patterns include the first three numbers but are missing the last five. If you want scholars to show work, consider requiring them to write in the subtraction function between each pair of numbers in the sequence. For these introductory patterns, the function will remain the same throughout the entire sequence. Consider numbering these before printing to make review easier.
