Native Americans - Searching for Knowledge and Understanding

Students examine lives of Native Americans in order to become familiar with contributions to and influences on American society particularly, but not exclusively, in the Western region of the United States. Students focus on cultural history, writings, and symbols of Southwestern tribes, and produce reports about specific Native American perspectives.
