Here is a comparing and ordering fractions learning activity that extends young mathematicians understanding of fractions with like and non-like denominators. By representing and explaining each fraction in a picture or diagram, students are able to compare them and order them from least to greatest. This is a great instructional tool to help learners visualize parts of a whole and compare the size of each.
