Reading Rockets: Author Interviews: Christopher Paul Curtis

Curated by ACT

Christopher Paul Curtis only became a published author in his 40's. Before that, he worked in an automobile factory, which became so unbearable that he began having semi-hallucinations at night of car doors and assembly lines moving through his bedroom. Fortunately, things changed when his first two novels received prestigious children's literature awards. Watch the interview to learn more about him and read a short biography about his life. Includes an interview transcript and a selected list of his books.
