Representing Objects with Numbers

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Because this step-by-step counting learning exercise includes the answers, it may be best used as an all-class warm up. Learners focus on relating objects and numbers as they count five circles and choose which numeral represents the amount. The answer is provided (just cover up as learners try this), and suggests they write each number in the circle as they count. Next, they represent the number eight in dots and numerical form. This doesn't provide space for learners to do on their own, so you will need to completely cover up the answer section.
