Scale Drawing: Perimeter and Area of a Room

Using a scale drawing with some dimensions missing, aspiring do-it-yourself homeowners calculate the remaining sides of a compound-shaped room. They apply the principles of ratio and proportion to determine how much crown molding will be needed to go around the ceiling (perimeter) and how many square tiles will be needed to cover the floor (area).
