Scale Drawing: Perimeter and Area of a Room

Using a scale drawing with some dimensions missing, aspiring do-it-yourself homeowners calculate the remaining sides of a compound-shaped room. They apply the principles of ratio and proportion to determine how much crown molding will be needed to go around the ceiling (perimeter) and how many square tiles will be needed to cover the floor (area).

Ada T.
Lesson Planet has been my place to go in order to find great additions to the curriculum. The lesson plans and worksheets I have found have been perfect for the lesson plans I had already planned. Because all lessons are reviewed by teachers, I know that every lesson I choose to look through will be pertinent and standard oriented without the fluff.
