Seeing through Touch

Young scholars explore solid objects using touch. In this art activity, students are blindfolded and given a 3 dimensional object to explore with their hands. After the object is removed, young scholars draw what they think the object looked like. The object is given back and visual and non-visual representations are compared and contrasted.

As headteacher in an elementary school and one who has a fair amount of dealing with high school students, Lesson Planet has been a dependable resource. The variety of material available suits a whole range subjects and levels.
