Songs from the Past

Students research songs from the past to learn about historical events. In this music history lesson, students conduct a survey on the Star-Spangled Banner, research the song and history on various websites, and research songs in the Library of Congress. Students select 5 songs to sing as a class. Students create another survey about historical songs, complete the survey, and then graph the information.

Lesson Planet has helped me a lot with my previous grade levels from K-6. Now I am reinstating my membership because I know it can help me more with my middle school special education classes.
