STEMbite: Hydrogen Bonding

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

The hydrogen bonds in a water molecule result in an electric charge, allowing water to stick to other objects. Drew demonstrates the attraction between a charged balloon and a stream of water, but no images of the actual molecules are ever displayed. Also, he does not mention polarity, or the adhesion and cohesion properties of water. There is so much more to be said about these special chemical bonds!
