Students examine plot development in fictional text.  In this creative writing lesson, students discuss the plot details of stories in relation to the outcome.  Students review the main elements of a plot in a variety of stories, and discuss various types of plot patterns.  Students complete a writing activity based on the information they discussed on plot development.
