Big vs. Little – Micro to Nano

Here's a small collection that introduces young scientists to some very big concepts. Kids complete an interactive, build structures, use magnifying lenses to find micro specimens, and compare objects—large and small. Learners examine examples and demonstrations to understand the size of the nanoscale of measurement. The unit concludes with class members demonstrating what they have learned by classifying objects as nano, micro, or macro in size.
