Learning 5 - Write the Word

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

As beginning counters learn numbers 1-10, give them activities like this one to help strengthen number value associations and printing skills. They begin by tracing the word five before printing it on their own. Next, they count the number of fish with five spots, writing the total in a box. Learners draw five fish of their own and finally complete a number sequence (1-10) by adding the five. What other things involve the number five? Encourage kids to take a look at their own fingers and toes!
