Grocery Store Problem Solving

Students use multiple math skills to complete grocery story problems. For this grocery math lesson, students study grocery ads to learn about the cost of foods. Students investigate food types and the costs of processed versus raw foods. Students find snacks from the ads and sort them into their correct food group. Students then create a meal and learn its total cost as well as identify the food groups of their meal. Students study the food issues around the world as well.
