Instructional Ideas

  • Bring the interactive to life—except for acid—have a graduated cylinder, water, and beakers available for learners to manipulate
  • Assign the link as a May Do activity during math or science period
  • Make question five an Exit Ticket—direct pupils to write their answers on a sheet of paper then turn it in prior to leaving for break or transition to the next period

Classroom Considerations

  • Create a free CK-12 account to access the interactive
  • The tool is sensitive—remind participants to move the dot up and down slowly

Pros

  • Answers are graded once responses are submitted—incorrect responses reveal the correct answer
  • The theme combines math and science
  • LInks provide hints and extra information to assist in the problem-solving process

Cons

  • None
