Did you know the lines on a pumpkin indicate how many seeds it will have? Class members learn many fun pumpkin facts when they read How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin, by Margaret McNamara. Follow the patterns in the book: have your class predict the number of seeds in various pumpkins, carve and count the seeds, and paint their pumpkin. Consider planting some of the seeds and toasting others!
