With this simple inquiry exercise young scientists observe the effects of melting ice on water level. Set up an easy experiment with floating ice cubes in a dish of water then have your pupils make and record their observations of the water level in the dish as the ice melts. Pupils will apply this knowledge to icebergs, glaciers, and the ocean in order to better understand the effects of climate change. This plan includes 3 discussion questions as well.
